Cholcharoen Group was founded in 1952 by Mr. Mr.Huang Ming Chuan. The main purpose is to manufacture tapioca starch from fresh cassava roots. With over 60 years of experience, Cholcharoen Group has developed both the manufacturing process and product quality continuously by seeking the appropriate raw materials, implementing state of the art manufacturing technology, and testing quality in order to enhance customer satisfaction towards products and services. At present, we have become one of the leading tapioca starch manufacturers both in Thailand and Asia.
Cholcharoen Group and its subsidiaries operate a super high grade cassava processing business, with a paid-up registered capital of 3,370,000,000 Baht. The group has 9 tapioca starch plants throughout Thailand (12 production lines), established according to the appropriateness of raw materials sources, with a production capacity of 3,850 tons/day (or manufacture 700,000 tons/years) and 1,500 employees.

Cholcharoen Company Limited was established in Bannongshark area, Banbueng, Cholburi. The company was well-known as “Two Siblings Bridge Starch Plant”, with a registered capital of 1,000,000 Baht, and a production capacity of 60 tons/day. Currently, the registered capital has increased to 300,000,000 Baht with a production capacity of 300 tons/day.

A new plant was constructed at Khonkaen in the name of Kaen Charoen Company Limited with a registered capital of 10,000,000 Baht in an area totaling 200 rai. In 1991, the production capacity was expanded to 2 production lines. Currently, the registered capital is at 300,000,000 Baht with a production capacity of 600 tons/day in an area of 600 rai. In 1998, the company filed an application to be ISO 9002 certified and received this certification in 1999.

A new plant was constructed at Srakaew in the name of Srakaew Charoen Company Limited with a registered capital of 50,000,000 Baht and a production capacity of 180 tons/day. In 1993, the production capacity was expanded to 2 production lines with a production capacity of 350 tons/day. Currently, the registered capital has increased to 300,000,000 Baht with a production capacity of 600 tons/day.

A new plant was constructed at Loei in the name of Jor. Charoen Marketing Company Limited with a registered capital of 50,000,000 Baht in an area of 315 rai, with a production capacity of 230 tons/day. Currently, the registered capital has increased to 300,000,000 Baht with a production capacity of 500 tons/day.

New investment was made at Kampaengpet in the name of Kaen Charoen Company Limited (Branch 2) in order to meet the increasing needs of consumers, with a registered capital of 150,000,000 Baht and 2 production lines in an area of 300 rai, with a production capacity of 550 tons/day. Currently, the registered capital has increased to 300,000,000 Baht with a production capacity of 600 tons/day, in an area of 700 rai.

A new plant was constructed at Panomsarakarm, Chachoengsao in the name of S.C. Industry Company Limited in an area totaling 435 rai with a registered capital of 220,000,000 Baht and a production capacity of 400 tons/day.
